The state-of-the-art software and projection systems in our 48-seat planetarium present myriad opportunities for not just astronomy and earth science, but all the sciences, music, art, wellness, and more. Our 35 foot dome is located in the Science and Mathematics Complex on Buffalo State University's campus. There are countless possibilities to provide 360-degree visually immersive experiences for the Buffalo State and Western New York communities.
Announcing Summer Camps at the Planetarium!
This summer, the planetarium is offering our first-ever day camps for young explorers! Come explore the solar system with us.
Camps include:
- 5 full days | 9am - 4pm
- planetarium programs
- hands-on experiments in astronomy and geology
- activities led by Buffalo State scientists
- snacks and water provided
- small groups (up to 25)
- final showcase for families
July 13 - 17: For students entering grades 6 - 8
July 27 - 31: For students entering grades 10 -12
