At the Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium, immersive shows take students and guests on a journey through stars, planets, galaxies, and beyond. Our 48-seat, 35-foot dome — located in the Science and Mathematics Complex on Buffalo State University's campus — combines state-of-the-art software and projection systems to bring nearly any subject to life, from astronomy to music, art, wellness, and beyond. Laser music experiences bring a different energy to the space, while programs designed just for young explorers make the cosmos approachable at any age. 

We're typically open to the public on Friday and Saturday evenings. We recommend exploring our website beforehand so you know what to expect. Whether you're here to learn something new, get lost in song and laser light, or introduce a young explorer to the wonders of the night sky, there's a seat with your name on it. Here, the sky is not the limit.
